Keep Hamilton Beautiful Receives Governor’s Community Achievement Award

KHB Award 2019

Keep Texas Beautiful recognized Keep Hamilton Beautiful with the Governor's Community Achievement Award of Excellence for preserving a clean and beautiful environment in the great State of Texas to be enjoyed now and by future generations.

Keep Hamilton Beautiful is a volunteer-based committee organized under the Hamilton Economic Development Corporation.  The committee is in place to plan and organize events and projects to accomplish the goals for education, beautification, and a clean community.  Keep Hamilton Beautiful encourages residents to take pride in their homes, neighborhoods, and commercial properties, and strive to maintain them in such a way that enhances the overall curb appeal of the entire community.

Some of the KHB projects and events to name a few are the flowers around the downtown square, Fair Park Entrance Beautification Project, Yard of the Month Program, Bulldog Sweep, and Don't mess with Texas® Trash-Off.  The Annual KHB Trash Bash is held each Spring in partnership with the City of Hamilton to offer Bulk Waste Collection, Tire Collection, Household Hazardous Waste Collection, and Electronic Recycling to citizens.  These projects improve the quality of life and appearance of Hamilton by keeping it liter-free and preserving the natural environment.

To become a Keep Hamilton Beautiful volunteer, or if your group/organization would like to adopt a project, please contact Sarah Bauman at 254-386-5954, or
