HAMILTON, Texas, September 27, 2019 The Hamilton County Hospital Board of Directors viewed the final rendering of the new specialty clinic to be built on the Hamilton General Hospital campus in the coming year at their September board meeting.
The new clinic will be constructed at the corner of Brown and Ross streets, and will bring additional services, physicians and a range of healthcare and technical jobs to the city. The new clinic will house visiting specialists, general surgery clinic, orthopedics, diabetes education, cardiac rehabilitation, optometry clinic and a retail area for purchasing glasses.
The City of Hamilton, in partnership with the Hamilton Healthcare System, received a $500,000 grant from the Texas Community Development Block Grant Program, Community Enhancement Fund through the Texas Department of Agriculture for the project. The Hamilton Healthcare System committed an additional $500,000 in matching funds, as well as any remaining funds needed to complete the project. The specialty clinic is expected to be completed in 2020.
