Mayoral Election Update

Mayoral Election Update:
Even though the City lost a beloved public servant, Mayor Jim McInnis, the mayoral race between Mayor McInnis and challenger J. Springer Courtney is unchanged.
Votes will be canvassed on the November 14 Regular City Council meeting date.  If Mr. Courtney receives the majority vote, he will assume mayoral duties once sworn into office. In the event that Mayor McInnis receives the majority of the votes for re-election, the council will be presented all available options in filling the position for our community.
Early voting for Hamilton citizens is taking place at the Hamilton County Courthouse through Friday. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3.
